DESCRIPTION:Famous for its music festival\, Glastonbury is a small hippy town surrounded by myths and legends. The mystery of the Holy Grail being one of them\, some believe it to be still buried beneath Glastonbury Tor\, in what is known today as the Chalice Well. As well as Glastonbury’s earliest history that’s linked with that of King Arthur. \nThis tour includes a walk to the iconic Glastonbury Tor\, a 15th-century tower located on a hill that looks out over beautiful views of the Somerset countryside. \nYou then have the chance to see the quirky shops in the high-street\, and an optional self guided tour of Glastonbury Abby. \nThen you will drive to Cheddar Gorge\, one of England’s most iconic and spectacular landscapes. At almost 400 feet deep and three miles long\, this is England’s largest gorge\, and with its weathered crags and pinnacles\, one of our most spectacular natural sights. The gorge would have begun forming about one million years ago during the last Ice Age when water from melting glaciers formed a river\, which over time started to carve into the limestone rock creating the steep cliffs you see today.
