If you are staying in a homestay, IH Torquay Partner Hotel or one of our apartments, then you will be met at the Torquay bus or train station on arrival.

To ensure that someone is available to meet you, it is very important that we receive arrival times well in advance.

If you come by taxi transfer, you will be taken directly to your accommodation.

We strongly recommend that tickets and seat reservations are booked well in advance, especially for travel between May and September.

By air

You can fly with a large number of airlines to nearby Exeter and Bristol airports. If flying to London, we recommend you travel to Heathrow – international flights to hundreds of worldwide destinations. Other London airports are not so convenient as coach journeys to Torquay take more than 6 hours.

Coaches from London Victoria, London Gatwick and London Heathrow leave several times daily for Torquay and are reasonably priced (see below).

By train

You can take the Heathrow Express from Heathrow airport to London Paddington. It departs every 15 minutes and takes only 15 minutes. This is the fastest way to travel between Heathrow and central London: www.heathrowexpress.com
