performance poet Melanie Crump. The workshop will include exercises in
motivation, observation and focus, creative language and different forms of
poetry and prose. These sessions are always informative and entertaining
and will give you the necessary tools to write credible and engaging
content.

Melanie Crump is a local writer, performance poet and the founder and
creative director of Riviera Writing, a local literary/arts based organisation.
She regularly performs poetry around the south west of England and hosts
spoken word events throughout the region. She has recently written a local
history book on the lives of women in Torbay which is due for publication
next year.
