Self-led excursions – Suggestion of the day.

A must do for any visitor to Devon. Indulge in a Cream tea, as done by Queen Victoria on her visit to Devon.

Traditional Scones with Clotted cream and Jam and of course, a cup of tea.

To fit in like a local you will need to add your cream first and then your jam as this is the Devon way to eat them.

You can relax for a whole afternoon in a cosy Hotel or Cafe while partaking in a very British custom. If you are feeling more than ‘peckish’ you may like to invite your class mates to an Afternoon tea where Scones and Jam are a key component however you will also receive Sandwiches, Cakes and Pastries.

We have added two suggestions of venues however there are many lovely places to sample a Cream tea around Torbay.
