Self led excursions – Suggestion of the day.

Take a seaside walk along the bay and up into Cockington Village approximately 1.5 hrs. Once arriving in the village perhaps warm up from your winter walk at the Drum inn a quintessential Brittish pub with open fires, good food and cosy atmosphere.

Visit the historic village of Cockington, located in a beautiful country park. Take a walk back in time along Cockington’s narrow lanes and experience the village’s typically English charm. You will see many traditional ‘thatched’ cottages with roofs made from straw.

Other historic sights include an old water mill, a forge and a cricket pitch that was once a medieval deer park. See demonstrations of traditional English crafts and enjoy a walk around the lakes and countryside trails.

You can walk back home or catch the little country bus/order a taxi.
