Dartmoor National Park is a large natural space in the county of Devon. Dartmoor ponies wander its craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and tors (rock formations). Paths wind through valleys with Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses. It is also home to Dartmoor Prison which was used during the Napoleonic Wars.
