Tintagel’s myths and mysteries have inspired artists, writers and travellers throughout history. Located high on Cornwall’s north coast, Tintagel has dramatic sea views from the castle ruins on the headland and from the island.
We will trek along the coastline towards the ruin of England’s most famous castle, long thought to be the home of the legendary King Arthur. This trip features a four-hour coastal walk, so you will need suitable shoes, a raincoat and some food and drink.
After lunch, we will head to the picturesque harbour of Boscastle, one of Cornwall’s most romantic places. The long narrow valley runs down to a steep and rocky entrance to the sea beyond. Boscastle’s wild beauty has inspired artists and authors for generations. Boscastle has also been a working harbour, both for fishermen and stone workers.
